Easter

Easter was fantastic. The bunny came and left lots and lots of eggs for the kiddos...now the duty of candy 'rationing' is in place. I've realized (for the 3rd year in a row) I really dislike basket grass--no more! We were able to Skype with our family in CA and it really made us (Steve & I) miss you all terribly! We both cried when the computer was turned off and as grateful that I am to spend all the time with my family here in MN, I can certainly understand how sad Steve is (being the roles were reversed for 7+ years). It was a fun Easter and tomorrow...the DENTIST for the 3 kids. Ugh. Let's see how this goes.

So, Heritage Prints in Cottage Grove (same people who did our wedding) contacted us to see if they could use our precious babies for some of their prints. I said, "YES!!!" and this is what we ended up with...perfection! I purchased the copyrights, so I can put these wonderful pix on our walls, but ALL the credit goes to Patti Nevin and Heritage Prints. Love them!

Disappointment

According to Jack (4): "Mommy, you disappoint me this morning because you don't let me wear my shoes I want. Yeah, you disappoint me."
Then only a few minutes later...
Kendall (3): "Mommy, can you please fix my Belle because you can fix everythings"

It gets me thinking. This is my thought process on a second-by-second basis. A mom is being told she's 'disappointing' her 4 year old then looked at as the most wonderful person in the world for fixing a toy Belle. Every second of every day there are differences in how I'm perceived and looked at. My children love me every moment, but this roller coaster is one I'm on for the next 15+ years...at least they still tell me:
Tori (3): "Mommy, you're da best mommy in the whole wide wurld" Those are the moments that make the 'disappointment' ones okay...

My 2 babies are 3!!
It seems like yesterday I was at Saddleback Memorial having the twins but they are now 3...a blessing more and more each day!

Sickness

It looks like we've fallen victim to the 'sickness' of winter...sigh...
The kids DO enjoy watching movies and sitting on the sofa!!
It's just a cold & cough combo package, but it doesn't seem to leave!!
Just gearing up for a crazy week of cake, cookie, cupcake baking and decorating...the girls turn 3 NEXT WEEK! It's crazy. simply crazy.
